ÖZGECAN ASLAN WATER WELL FILES HANDED OVER TO THE FAMILY

Files of water well which was constructed in Ethiopia in memory of Özgecan Aslan, were presented and handed over to her parents Mehmet Aslan and Songul Aslan by Hasene President Mesud Gulbahar. The father Mehmet Aslan expressed his appreciation and thanks to Yasar Vural and all sensible people: “I hereby express our thankfulness for his kind thought, his endeavors to promote good deed, sincerity and benevolence.”

In Ethiopia’s Azernet region, a water well had been opened in memory of Özgecan Aslan, by Yasar Vural, a fellow citizen who lives in the Netherlands. He expressed his thoughts on the occasion: “We also have children. For my part, I have a daughter and two sons. No parents would ever think of such a despicable act occurring to their children.” Vural told about his water well campaign: “With all these abominable feelings, I announced my campaign to construct a water well in memory of Özgecan to my near relatives and on the social media, a torrent of support messages arrived. Even so, acquaintances in Turkey supported our campaign and said they would also participate in such campaign.”
